“Il Poggiarello” is an old farmhouse built in 1659. It is situated on a small hill near Montaione, from where the panoramic view stretches over gentle valleys and rising hills as far as the Apuan Alps towering in the distance. It is the ideal place for anyone who has always dreamed of discovering Tuscany in all its scenic variety and with its historical, artistic and culinary treasures.
At the Poggiarello, visitors can still find what was typical of the local area for a long time:
… the simplicity inherent in sandstone masonry,
… closeness to nature, when the crickets chirp in summer and the frogs croak in the pond,
… the charm that can be found in the landscape when the sun sets between the cypress trees.
All this characterises an authentic Tuscan atmosphere.
The house was built from natural stone and has been lovingly restored. The house is surrounded by extensive grounds with cypress, pine and olive trees. Shady spots and sunny corners offer relaxation and recreation. Only with a great deal of personal dedication and private commitment can natural stone houses of this type be preserved.
The house has three apartments, two of which are rented out as holiday apartments. The furnishings have been chosen to match the style of the house and emphasise the charm of this old farmhouse.
The property is easily accessible from a country road.
