How to find us
1. from the direction of Bologna, leave the highway at Firenze-Scandicci. After paying the toll, follow the highway to Pisa/Livorno (Fi-Pi-Li) and leave it at the Empoli exit and follow the signs for Castelfiorentino/Siena. Follow this road to Castelfiorentino. Shortly before entering the town, there is a fuel station on the left and the town sign on the right. You will get to a roundabout and then follow the sign for Montaione. Follow the ring road. After a few kilometers, a road on the right leads to Montaione. After passing through the village of Montaione, you soon will come to the village of Mura, continue until you reach a small bridge and turn left there. The next village is called Alberi. The road climbs and after two sharp bends there is soon a house on the left on a small hill. It is the Poggiarello.
From the motorway exit Scandicci to Il Poggiarello it is about 60km., 17 km from Castelfiorentino and 8 km from Montaione.
2. arrival via the highway Milan, Piacenza, Parma, La Spezia, Viareggio, Livorno/Pisa. Leave the highway at the Pisa Centro exit and take the Pisa/Firenze expressway. Leave the highway at the exit San Miniato and then turn right shortly afterwards, San Miniato is signposted. At the next roundabout, continue straight ahead. After a few meters you will see signs for Pontedera, turn right (DO NOT turn left). You are now on country road 67 (Empoli/Pisa). After approx. 1 km, turn left and follow the signs to San Miniato. After about 2 km there is a stop sign. Turn sharp right there (straight ahead you would get to San Miniato, which you are NOT allowed to drive into). After another 2 km, you will see signs for Montaione and turn left. After approx. 3 km there is another stop sign, Montaione/Corazzano is signposted, where you turn left again. You soon reach the small village of Corazzano, continue straight ahead until you see a small bridge on the left and several signs. Montaione is also signposted, among others. But neither the bridge nor Montaione are of interest.
Follow the sign Sughera, continuing straight ahead. Pass through the small village of Alberi. The road climbs and after two sharp bends there is soon a house on the left on a small hill: Il Poggiarello (about 60 km from Pisa).
Of course, also coming from Bologna, you can leave the road at San Miniato.
